Dr. Elana Bodzin, PT, DPT (she/her/hers)
I’m thrilled to welcome you to my clinic!
I’ve worked to create a safe, supportive and inclusive space to address the needs of women and birthing people—a place I can share my passion for women’s health, pelvic floor physical therapy, and wellness. My own experience with pelvic pain and dysfunction led me to specialize in pelvic floor physical therapy. I was diagnosed with cancer in 2017, and after multiple surgeries, chemotherapy, and radiation treatment, I needed pelvic floor PT for myself. As a practicing PT, I luckily knew where to look. My goal is to make access easier for all women, to provide the treatments and resources they need to heal, and help guide them through their journey.
My background in health and wellness spans more than 20 years. I began by teaching Pilates, fitness, and dance before studying physical therapy. In 2012, I earned my doctorate from Wayne State University and worked in outpatient orthopedic clinics. Following my training in pelvic floor PT, I partnered with a busy OB/GYN practice for almost 2 years before opening Aligned. I am a member of The Menopause Society and a teaching assistant for Herman & Wallace pelvic rehabilitation institute.
